Climate change is hastening the demise of Pacific Northwest forests

The iconic red cedar trees of the Pacific Northwest are dying from drought caused by climate change.
The death of these trees is a sign of larger shifts in tree growing ranges due to climate change.
At least 15 native tree species in the Pacific Northwest have experienced growth declines and die-offs linked to drought and warming temperatures. [ more ]
